PART ONE:

February 11 – TRINITY 

    • the Trinity is not just one doctrine among many; we believe in everything in terms of the Trinity.

February 18 – GRACE

    • When we look for God's loving presence in all, acknowledge that all of creation is sacred.

February 25 – INCARNATION

    • The Incarnation is the highest compliment ever paid to humanity. God has chosen to become like us and, in doing so invites us to become fully human.

March 4 – SALVATION

    • Salvation is the story of God entering world to reaffirm the first judgment: We are good.

March 11 – CHURCH

    • The Church brings us together and, in coming together, we discover what it means to love God.

March 18 – BAPTISM

    • Our being baptized is never finished until we have be, completely raised with Christ.

March 24 – EUCHARIST

    • The Eucharist both makes us who reveals to us where we are going.

PART TWO

– Sacraments of Vocation

    • Matrimony and Holy Orders can each be a rich sour~ meaningful use of talents and a way to give oneself away to others

– Reconciliation

    • Reconciliation is not about how wicked I am but a celebration of how good

– Tradition

    • The only way we can truly live the faith is by developing it, passing it on and allowing it to grow.

REV. MICHAEL J. HIMES holds a doctorate in theology from the University of Chicago. He has taught at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, New York, and the University of Notre Dame. He is currently on the faculty at Boston College.
