The Golden Hail Mary
One fervent “Hail Mary” with love and thought said
Is better than volumes of prayers poorly read;
If time and one’s duties prevent a long prayer,
Just say one “Hail Mary” with fervor and care.
The “Golden Hail Mary” which from the heart springe,
The greatest of blessings from Mary it brings;
And we never will know till before Mary’s throne
How that daily “Hail Mary” brought us to her home.

Prayer to Our Lady of Good Council
Patroness of the Catholic Women’s League

Mary, Our Lady of Good Counsel: filled with the Holy Spirit, you were a faithful disciple of Jesus, your Son.
Intercede with your Son for us, that we may be faithful to our baptism, fervent in prayer, and generous in the service we give to others. May the Spirit of the living God, who graced you with the gift of counsel, lead us in the way of truth and love.
With the help of your prayers, may we come to rejoice forever with you and the great company of the saints in the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen.

May Our Lady of Good Councel continued to guide us to be Women of Peace and Hope and encourage us to reach out to others in our parish, homes and community.
